Mold Lawn Tennis Club currently serves Mynydd Isa, Buckley, Hawarden, Northop, Flint, Deeside, Connahs Quay, Leeswood, and Holywell. The only other tennis club serving Flintshire is Penyffordd Tennis Club, whose catchment area lies in Hope, Broughton, Caergwrle, and Kinnerton. 

Mold is the County town of Flintshire and as the largest historic market town in this County it is also a major cultural centre for North Wales.  The headquarters of Flintshire County Council are also located in the town.  The population of the town is around 10000, reaching out to the limits of its green belts.
